Summary
Throughout my middle school and high school years, I was a member of the drama club at an all-girls school and always played male roles. During a two-month trip to Eastern Europe, I found myself thinking, "Theater is quite appealing," which led me to aspire to become an actor. Upon returning home, I became captivated by the allure of acting.
I made my voice acting debut in 1977 with "Dinosaur Exploration Team Born Free" and played my first leading role as "Anne Shirley" in "Anne of Green Gables" in 1979. Since then, I have appeared in various anime and games and have frequently participated in World Masterpiece Theater anime productions. Initially, I often played female roles, but the opportunities to play male characters increased. In the original "Captain Tsubasa" anime that aired from 1983, I particularly received high praise for my role as Misaki Taro.
