Summary
In February 1981, Minamisawa Michiyoshi, who was affiliated with Aoni Production, established 81 Produce by becoming independent along with the staff from the planning and production department of Production Baobab. The company name is derived from the year of its establishment.
They handle a lot of Japanese dubbing for foreign TV dramas and sound production for anime, often casting mainly 81 Produce-affiliated voice actors in works that are about 5 to 10 minutes per episode. They are also involved in casting cooperation in most of the anime produced by Shogakukan Shueisha Production. Although it is not as much as Aoni Production, the connection with Toei Animation is also strong.
