Summary
As a child, she was so righteous that it was noted on her report cards, and she aspired to become a police officer. In high school, she won a female middle and high school DJ contest in a radio disk jockey contest, and became interested in becoming a DJ due to her love for radio, the appeal of free talk, and finding voice work fascinating.
After graduating from high school, she enrolled in a vocational school but dropped out. She then worked as an office worker for a while, and decided to pursue a career as a voice actor at the age of 22 after being complimented on her nice voice while answering a phone call.
In 1985, she joined Sunhouse Music's voice acting division. The following year, she joined 81 Produce. She made her debut in 1987 with a role as a female student in "Gakuen Tokuso Hikaruon," and had her first leading role as "Ajiyoshi Yōichi," the protagonist of "Mr. Ajikko."
She has appeared in numerous famous works, but her representative work is "Detective Conan," where she plays the role of the protagonist "Edogawa Conan." Due to the national popularity of the series, there is no one who doesn't know her voice.
