Born and raised in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture. Vaguely, since childhood, she knew about the profession of voice acting. At that time, she liked Nachi Nozawa's Illya Kuryakin in "0011 Napoleon Solo," thinking he was "cool." She wasn’t thinking about becoming an actor or voice actor at that time. She was aiming for college admission and studying for entrance exams, but changed directions and moved to Tokyo at her mother's recommendation, joining the training institute affiliated with Haiyuza Theatre Company instead of going to college. A 7th-term student at the institute. Joined the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society two years later. Her first job was on the slapstick radio program "Ultra Anime" on Nippon Broadcasting. She made her voice acting debut in 1979 with a female ninja role in "Manga Sarutobi Sasuke."
From the graduation performance of the training institute, she started aspiring to the stage, and since 1980, she has been a member of the "SHIBAIYA Lin" theater company led by Toshio Tezuka, participating in performances up to six times a year. Initially, she focused on stage activities, doing voice acting with less binding time as a part-time job.Although often cast in boyish roles due to the characteristics of her voice, she has also portrayed adult women, such as Kaori Makimura in City Hunter, showcasing her multifaceted talents.
