Summary
The protagonist of "TENGAI MAKYŌ II: MANJI MARU" is a young descendant of the Fire Clan, raised by his mother after his father was killed by the Root Clan.
He is the leader of the children in Hirata's Shirakawa Village, with followers in Takayama Village and Ushikubi Village as well. He is well-liked for his caring nature and is admired by his followers. He seems to have a natural charm, making him popular among various people, regardless of gender. Among the four main members, Manjimaru has less latent potential than Kinu, but he has the strongest bloodline connection to the Fire Clan and is the only one who can wield the sacred sword that houses the soul of the Fire Clan's hero. Therefore, in the story, only Manjimaru can cut through Ankoku-ran.
The protagonist serves as an avatar for the player, thus rarely speaks during the game, except for a few words in significant event scenes.

Its history is ancient, originating from old Sanskrit, and has been rooted in Buddhism and Japanese culture long before the Nazis. However, in other countries, the use of this "卍" symbol is criticized in any context because it evokes the Nazi swastika. There are differences between the "卍" and the swastika, such as the direction of rotation and the swastika typically being rotated by 45 degrees, but the similarity often leads to criticism.
