Real name and former stage name is Takashi Tanaka. His wife is also a voice actress, Takashima Gara.
During junior high and high school, he was a member of the broadcasting and art clubs. He was captivated by the charm of radio dramas while being in the broadcasting club, where he didn’t have to participate in morning assemblies. In university, he was part of a broadcasting research group and was passionate about creating radio dramas.
Although he wanted to be involved in radio dramas in the future, he thought that radio dramas couldn’t establish themselves as a profession. The only thing close to it was being in a theatre company, so he joined the training institute of Theatre Echo. After leaving the institute, he repeatedly created and disbanded theatre groups with his friends, while also working independently in stage activities.
Through stage activities, his desire to work in sound became clear, and he brought his voice sample tape to Aoni Production to find a job in that field. This became the opportunity to start working in voice, making his debut as a voice actor at 28.
