Summary
The Shōgun of Edo Castle and the ruler of the Bandō region. In the PC Engine version, he is Orochimaru's adoptive father and a man of great character. (In TENGAI MAKYŌ II: MANJI MARU, Taikun, the ruler of the Yamato region, is the Shōgun’s younger brother.)
In the PC Engine version, he is deceived into joining Daimon Church out of his deep desire for the peace and well-being of his people.
In the Xbox 360 version, his story is slightly altered—he attempts to use Daimon Church to strengthen his rule over the Bandō region. Later, realizing his mistake, he rebels against Daimon Church, but is ultimately defeated.
