Fujii Yakumo

A boy characterized by his slit eyes. On his way home from work, he meets the heroine, Sanjiyan (a three-eyed demon), named Pai, and becomes immortal to protect Sanjiyan, turning into "Wu". He embarks on a journey with Pai to become human. The age at which he became immortal is 16, a high school second-year student. As the story progresses, there are depictions of advancing times, but since he does not age after becoming immortal, there is no change in appearance.

He has a nature that dislikes fighting, and he tends not to take lives, even if they are enemies, often helping at his own risk. Especially against female-type monsters, his restraint is noticeable, and he often falls into a predicament being betrayed. He is good at cooking. "Give me a break" and "Yakui (meaning 'dangerous')" are his catchphrases. He seems to have a fear of heights, and he is not good at Chinese.

Originally, he was just an ordinary person who had gained immortality without any combat abilities. In the early stages, his only method of attack was reckless charges, relying entirely on his inability to die.

From the second part onward, he mastered martial arts and Beast Magic, allowing him to fight on equal terms with his enemies. However, as a sorcerer, he remained relatively weak, often struggling against top-tier demons such as Benares.

Through the training of the Five Generals of the Demon-Eyed King and the guidance of the Grand Sorcerer Madurai, he inherited new abilities and underwent countless battles, experiencing significant growth. Ultimately, he became the only being capable of standing against Benares and the Demon-Eyed King.

TŌTYAO土爪 A beetle-like creature with three enormous claws that slashes its target.
CHINKŪ鏡蠱 A large spider with a mirror-like body that reflects light-based magic, making it ideal for countering such attacks.
KOANYĀ光牙 A light-element beast magic in the form of a three-eyed dragon. It possesses one of the highest destructive capabilities among attack-type beast magic. It looks like an energy beam similar to a "Kamehameha."
TSUŌRIN走鱗 A plank-shaped beast magic that allows the user to ride on it like a skateboard for high-speed movement.
CHIĪACHĪKŪ假肢蠱 A crustacean-like beast with sharp pincers resembling those of a stag beetle. It can replace lost limbs or attack with scythe-like blades.
TSAOIEN操演 Capable of controlling inanimate objects, organic matter, and living creatures.
KŪYON哭蛹 Instantly devours energy and neutralizes all techniques, affecting both allies and enemies.

PĪJYĀ被甲 A humanoid beetle or crustacean that acts as armor to protect the user.
STEN-SHIFON-CHINFONFAN四天聖精奉還 A defensive beast magic composed of four small creatures. These creatures form a tetrahedral shield around the user, providing ultimate protection from any attacks.
KANCHŌYŪ抗呪羽 A bird-like beast magic that scatters feathers while flying, neutralizing magical energy in the surrounding area.

FŪIN-JYUTSU
MAGEN-FŪJIN魔現封神	Also known as "Dragon Vein Binding Formation," a type of sealing technique called "Fūyaochen." It was used 4,000 years ago by the great sorcerer Madurai to seal Benares. Yakumo inherited this technique when studying under Madurai.
