Summary
When she was in her second year of junior high school, she was scouted while shopping with her mother in Tenjin, Fukuoka, and appeared in advertisements for local companies. In her second year of high school, she decided to make a full-scale debut in the entertainment industry, moved to Tokyo, and transferred to a high school there.
In 1989, she won the Grand Prix out of 2,100 contestants in the "Miss Vitamin C Hi-C Girl Contest" and made her entertainment industry debut. After that, she gained attention by appearing in numerous dramas and commercials. In 2008, she married fashion producer NIGO.
Alongside her acting career, she has also done some voice acting in special guest roles, though not as a main profession.
