Summary

I am a programmer and a writer mainly active in the field of gaming magazines. When active, I often use the name "いわさきひろまさ".

I started working on the system design of CD-i around 1985 while in college and from 1988, I began working at Hudson, handling programming and direction for PC Engine game software (mainly CD-ROM2 and SUPER CD-ROM² titles). In 1994, I moved to MediaWorks and was in charge of game reviews and columns related to games in "Dengeki PC Engine", "Dengeki PlayStation", and "Dengeki King".

I am a self-proclaimed fan of shooting games. In the PC Engine version of "Ys I & II", I introduced CG close-ups of female characters during dialogue scenes. This established the beautiful girl game route for later PC Engine software. This method has been used in many game softwares since then and has become a common expression method in games today.
