Matsumushi

One of the seven heroes of the Fire Clan who fought in the great war a thousand years ago.

A tomboyish warrior known as "Oni Yuriko of Tragic Love." Although she is a warrior of the Fire Clan, she does not have the blood of the Fire Clan. She was once a normal village girl. Matsumushi's lover was a promising young warrior, but he caught the eye of a female general from the Root Clan. Jealous, the general tried to kill Matsumushi, but it was her lover who died protecting her. Since then, perhaps as a self-reproach for causing her lover's death, Matsumushi never used healing magic on herself and continued to fight the Root Clan with reckless abandon. Her story is told in later generations.

Now, she exists as a spirit residing in the "Holy Sword·Jakōin Matsumushi" she created herself. "Jakōin" is the place where Matsumushi forged her holy sword.
