Summary
The final boss of the PC Engine version. He was once sealed away by the Fire Clan after attempting to conquer Zipang. In the Xbox 360 version, the reason behind his destruction and massacre of Zipang is revealed.
Masakado is based on Taira-no-Masakado, a samurai who led a rebellion in the Kantō region during the Heian period and later became one of Japan’s Three Great Vengeful Spirits, feared by future generations.
